  • Not all comments received will be posted, especially if the comment does not follow our Comment Protocol.

  • Unpublished comments will be held for 30 days before they are deleted.

Please keep in mind that Melissa Lyons/Choose to Choose Inc. will not tolerate offensive comments to an individual or an organization, rude in tone, or abusive. We do not discriminate against any views, but we reserve the right not to allow comments that are:

  • not related to the topic at hand or cyber safety

  • contrary to the principles of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms

  • racist, hateful, sexist, homophobic, slanderous, insulting, or life-threatening messages

  • serious, unsupported, or inaccurate accusations against individuals or organizations

  • abusive, aggressive, coarse, explicit, vulgar, violent, obscene, or pornographic comments

  • personal attacks and/or defamatory statements

  • comments that encourage or suggest illegal activity

  • solicitations, advertisements, or endorsements of any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency. Similarly, we do not allow attempts to defame or defraud any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency

  • announcements from labour or political organizations

  • messages written in a language other than English or French

  • repetitive posts copied and pasted by multiple users

  • comments that include third-party personal information

  • unintelligible or irrelevant messages

  • comments that violate the law

  • any other message that the forum moderators feel is not in the spirit of this protocol.
